Classic Eyes Gateway is the youngest member of the Classic Eyes group in South Africa, having opened in October 2001. We are situated in the Gateway Theatre of Shopping complex on the Umhlanga Ridge. Gateway has 150 000 square metres of letable floorspace and is marketed as a "shopping and entertainment" centre. This means that there is plenty to see and do, while our patients wait for their spectacles to be made in our on-site One Hour Spectacle Lens Laboratory.

Our Laboratory Technicians take pride in manufacturing quality lenses and are also on-hand to service and repair spectacles. We pride ourselves in our professional service. Our internationally qualified Optometrists provide the highest clinical ocular care. Our Optical assistants are all well qualified and experienced to service all our patient's ocular needs.

We have over 3000 frames and sunglasses on display - ranging from affordable to luxury eyewear. Classic Eyes Gateway also has a "designer room" which houses some very exclusive brands eg Chanel, Tag Heuer and Swarovski. Patients can relax on a leather sofa while being guided through the frame selection process by a well-trained frame stylist.

Our contact lens fitting centre stocks the widest range of disposable contact lenses including products from Bausch & Lomb, Johnson & Johnson, Ciba and Cooper Vision.Our contact lens consultants are on hand to advise you of the benefits of wearing contact lenses.
