Old Canford Cliffs branch moves to new premises.

We were happily working away at our premises in Canford Cliffs village last year when a structural engineer declared our building unsafe and gave us 2 hours to clear the building. We had patients booked for the next day (and a few weeks ahead) so had to contact everyone to relocate them to the Bournemouth branch. It was a tight squeeze fitting all the staff and stock into one small practice but we managed it for a few months while securing new premises. We eventually found the perfect answer – convert an old Edwardian house on Penn Hill Avenue into a state-of-the-art practice. Planning took a while longer than anticipated but we received planning permission to convert the house into a practice by late February. The conveyancing procedures took another month and we finally started building work in the middle of May. Seven weeks later we were ready for business.
The new practice has ample parking – on the forecourt and all along the road. The new larger premises allowed us to expand our range of optical frames and introduce new instrumentation to keep up with the latest advances in optical care. As specialist optometrists we offer a fully comprehensive range of services including a diabetic clinic, myopia management and an expanded reading clinic. We also offer NHS services and private eye examinations.
